Sp14 WorldCupBag 01

A few weeks back, we previewed an exclusive 3D printed bag from Nike that was given to three of the soccer's biggest stars, Rooney, Neymar, and Ronaldo for the 2014 World Cup. News surfaced today giving us a better look at the special 3D printed bag, and revolutionary shin guards that will hit shelves later in the year.

Continuing their innovative nature, Nike developed their first ever 3D printed bag that combines with a premium leather upper with a 3D printed base in a bold expression of technology and style. Named the Nike Rebento, the bag was designed for the game's best players, and features custom gold hardware with the player’s name engraved on it. Nike utilized tech features from Flyknit patterns on the Magista and Mercurial to develop a lightweight yet durable bag that allows for flexing and movement.

Nike also introduced their revolutionary Mercurial FlyLite Guard that features a specially engineered shock system that works to gives player optimal impact protection as well as breathability and flexibility. Nike replaced the traditional foam backing with a new web based system that absorbs the shock of getting hit to keep players safe and comfortable.

The Mercurial FlyLite Guard will be available beginning July 1 at Nike, but unfortunately unless your name is Neymar, Rooney, or Ronaldo, there's little chance of getting the Rebento 3D bag.
