The innovation at Nike never seems to take a break—take the new Lunar Embellish women’s golf shoe for example. It’s the successor to the existing Air Embellish model, but made with new technologies and materials, along with a more fashionable design, to appeal to the masses of ladies golfers.

“The Nike Lunar Embellish is a result of refining and perfecting a shoe that was already incredibly popular with female golfers,” says Lee Walker, Global Footwear Marketing Director. “It was important for us to evolve the best characteristics of the popular Air Embellish to make the new Lunar Embellish an even better-performing, more feminine golf shoe – yet still retain the essence of what made the original Embellish so successful.”

At just 8.6 ounces, the Lunar Embellish is over two whole ounces lighter than the previous model. This is a result of using lighter materials and a sleeker, more streamlined design, allowing athletes to stay comfortable and move around the golf course with ease. The addition of a Lunarlon midsole also helps reduce the shoe’s weight, while providing plush cushioning from the heel down to the toe box.

One feature that Nike has carried over from the Air Embellish is the interchangeable midfoot color saddles. Like the previous version, the Lunar Embellish comes with two reversible saddles, giving female golfers a total of four different looks to choose from depending on the rest of their attire. This is what Nike likes to refer to as the “four-shoes-in-one” concept. The saddles aren’t just there for aesthetical purposes though; they’re also a form of adjustable midfoot support and stability.

Lastly, the Lunar Embellish features a new water-resistant synthetic upper with a seamless film overlay for the best in weather protection and lightweight support.

The official release date for the Nike Lunar Embellish is set for November 1, 2013. Though one glance at the Nike website and you’ll notice the shoe is already available for purchase, and at $130, it’s above the suggested $99 price point for some reason.
