Nike began it's soccer campaign back in 1971 with the release of their first ever boot, aptly named "The Nike". The shoe was the first to feature the iconic Swoosh logo and garnered a $16.95 price tag, but failed to meet expectations as it didn't hold up in cold or wet weather, but it was the launching pad for where Nike is today, the #1 brand in football.

Over the years, Nike learned through research and development, and help from their athletes, to create football products that exceeded expectations and revolutionized the game.
