Nike is taking some extra precautions with the upcoming release of the LeBron X basketball sneakers. Even with a hefty price tag of $315, the shoe is expected to attract a lot of attention. The top-tier sneakers feature Nike+ motion sensor that track performance stats, thus, according to Nike, the reason why they are so expensive.

To make sure the drop goes without incident, retailers, including Foot Locker and Dick’s Sporting Goods, will not be allowed to take reservations for the kicks—that means no midnight release either.
