Nike Corinthians Kit

Earlier this week, Nike unveiled a blacked-out collection of their signature soccer cleats, and today the Swoosh returns with a little more color for the field.

Nike is celebrating Brasilian football club Corinthians' 2012 Libertadores Cup cup win over Boca Juniors with the release of a classic-styled kit. The Corinthians historic win occurred one year ago today, and now Nike honors their accomplishments by digging into the archives for this retro look. Inspired by the uniforms worn by the Corinthians on November 16, 1965 against Arsenal FC, these royal blue jerseys include white hits on their collars and cuffs.

Like many of Nike's athletic uniforms, the Corinthians kit is constructed of recycled fabric, helping to reduce their impact on the environment. The lightweight kit weighs just 150 grams and utilizes Dri-Fit technology for sweat-wicking, keeping players cool and dry.

Look out for the official release of the Corinthians collection on July 8.
