With football season still off in the distance, and the basketball season winding down, tennis will take center stage this summer—and it starts with the 2013 French Open just weeks away.

As is the case before each of the four major tournaments, Nike has rolled out a Rollad Garros-exclusive footwear collection for its top stars. The three key Swoosh-branded sneakers that will be on display this year are the Zoom Vapor 9 Tour, Air Max Courtballistec 4.3, and the all-new Air Max Cage.

Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova will be amongst the top players who will lace up in the Zoom Vapor 9, with seven-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal rocking his go-to Air Max Courtballistec 4.3. Juan Martin Del Potro and Serena Williams will go with the latest tennis model from Nike, the Air Max Cage.

Each of the three sneakers is engineered to perform at optimal level on all surfaces, including the red clay at Roland Garros. The Air Max Courtballistec, with its Air Max and Lunarlon technologies offers lightweight cushioning and impact protection. The Zoom Vapor 9 is a do-it-all shoe designed for making quick turns on the court, while the Air Max Cage uses Drag-On Cage technology for the best in support and flexibility.

French Open action kicks off on Sunday, May 26. Follow Sneaker Report for the latest in tennis.
