He’s no post-game Russell Westbrook, but as far as pro tennis players go, Roger Federer is a pretty flashy dude both on and off the court. So to pay tribute to his signature style, Nike has rolled out a limited edition “Savile Row” version of Roger’s go-to tennis shoe, the Zoom Vapor 9 Tour.
Cloaked in a perforated dress shoe-inspired upper, the “Savile Row” Zoom Vapor 9 Tour LE is a nod to the fine craftsmanship of legendary Savile Row in England. It features a patterned synthetic upper in a classic Heritage Blue colorway with a Teal liner and outsole for subtle contrast.
Don’t worry about scuffing these up either. Despite its regal looks, the “Savile Row” Zoom Vapor 9 Tour LE is still a tennis shoe when it’s all said and done. This means you still get the same Zoom cushioning underfoot and herringbone outsole for multi-surface traction. In fact, R-Fed is expected to wear the limited edition sneakers during the year end finals in London.
The shoes will be available starting November 4, 2013 at Nike. Include with the $160 purchase is a RF branded draw-string bag.
