Youth outreach is a major area of focus for big box brands, as they look to ignite a new generation of athletes, and hope to inspire them to ditch the video games and go be active. Nike is a major proponent of this, as they often roll out exclusive grade school and youth colorways of the most popular models to help get kids excited and hopefully live a more active lifestyle. The latest installment of this comes in the form of the recently release KD VII, as Nike just debuted a special edition coming to their high performance basketball shoe.

Utilizing brightly colored schemes, Nike debuts the KD VII "Carnival" designed exclusively for the performance and style demands of young athletes everywhere. The grade school model however comes with the same advanced feel and performance as the normal model and is focused on combining superior cushioning with protective stability. Nike brought Zoom Air technology and EVA foam to the grade school versions for ultra responsive cushioning, and paired it with a flex grooved outsole for greater flexibility. The KD VII "Carnival" offers a bold twist to young athletes as the bright colors and sleek lines gives them the chance to express their personal style and perform well on the court.

The Nike KD VII Carnival is exclusive for young athletes in sizes Infant through 7Y, and will be available globally beginning August 9 at the Nike Store, and select retailers.
