The VR Forged Pro Combo irons feature a pocket cavity in the long irons, 3 through 6, and split cavity in the short irons, 7 through the pitching wedge. The pocket cavities give your shot a higher trajectory so the shots will land softly in the green. The split cavity irons on the other hand, allow for the athletes to be more target-oriented on every shot – taking your game to the next level.
Taking feedback from the Nike athletes, the engineers added polymer to the clubs. This resulted in a pure sound and feel on impact. "Great feel and sound are what give me confidence in my distance control," says Nike Athlete Russell Henley. "It's all about getting feedback from the club. The feel of a good shot is just as important as the feel of a bad shot, because that's what helps me get better."
