Nike has always been known for its lasting relationships with some of the greatest athletes in the world. One such bond the swoosh forged in 2003 was “King” LeBron James.

From the get-go, LeBron made it clear to Nike’s lead designer Aaron Cooper that comfort was the most important thing to him in a basketball shoe. Cooper and Nike met the challenge head on. With a newly developed foam and with double-stacked Zoom air at the heel, the Nike Zoom Generation answered LeBron’s call for perfection.
