With the US Open underway, Nike has revealed more apparel and footwear that top players Serena Williams, Rafa Nadal, and Roger Federer will be rocking in New York. This limited-edition pack is called Claim the Night. The apparel and footwear reflect the on court lighting giving the apparel a 3M appeal.
The pack utilizes Nike’s new Vapor Flash fabric that was most recently used on the jackets worn by US medal on the podium in London. The original design of the fabric was to be used on Nike Running jackets, providing a 360-degree of visibility when running in low light conditions. The reflective surface is comprised of tiny class beads that are able to produce 400-candelpower reflectivity when lit. The “Claim the Night” jackets give the wearer moisture management as well as comfort from its custom laser cut perforations in the each jacket.
The Nike footwear in this pack includes the Nike Zoom Vapor 9 Tour and the Nike Air Max Cage footwear for men and women as well as the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 for men. The footwear is dressed in an all-black colorway with the reflective elements found throughout the shoe. The Nike Tennis “Claim the Night” footwear is available globally on the Nike Tennis site and from select retail partners. The tennis jackets are only in New York City at Niketown New York, 21 Mercer, Masons Tennis and the Nike Store at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
