If there’s one college basketball team in the country that is sure to get the Jordan Brand hookup, it’s definitely Michael Jordan’s alma mater North Carolina.  However, the excitement over the arrival of the latest Tar Heel-themed kicks to the NC locker room was fairly short-lived, as the Coach Roy Williams’ young squad received a thorough spanking courtesy of No. 1 ranked Indiana.

As much as we’d love to sit here and dissect what went wrong for the Tar Heels, for now, we’ll just focus on the team’s aforementioned Jordan sneakers.

Similar to the Marquette PEs released earlier in the month, North Carolina’s University Blue Air Jordan 2012 Lites and Jordan Aero Flights are some of the best basketball sneakers of the year. Both pairs of kicks are constructed with lightweight, yet supportive, materials that is sure to have the ‘Heels flying all over the court—hopefully with better results than last night.
