The Oregon Ducks are widely known for their colorful and unique colorful uniform combinations on the field. But every now and then, the Ducks take a break from the endless uniform variations to opt for a more simple all-white kit.

This year that all-white look is back, and what better way to showcase it than against Pac-12 rival USC on Saturday. For tomorrow's Top-10 showdown, the Ducks will wear a special "White Vapor" colorway of their innovative Nike Pro Combat unis. From the helmet down to the cleats, the uniforms are identical to the uniforms we've seen on the Ducks all season, just with a white overload.

Here's the reasoning behind the all-white look, according to Nike's Creative Director for Football, Todd Van Horne:

"The White Vapor uniform has zero distractions, making the players feel and look faster," said Van Horne. "The all-white colorway creates a foundation that highlights the uniform’s innovation. With the integration of Chain Maille Mesh into the jersey as well as the functional winged pattern on the shoulders, this is truly the lightest, fastest and strongest football uniform we’ve ever made."

Tune in this weekend to see if the new look bodes well for Oregon, or if USC can keep it's BCS hopes alive with an upset.
