After breaking out as a truly elite star last season, Stephen Curry has continued to turn in stellar performances for 2013-14. In early November, Curry picked up his second triple-double, and the fifth year point guard is putting up the highest point, rebound, and assist averages of his career. His Golden State Warriors are 13-12 so far, which may not be the best record in the league, but they'll definitely be a playoff contender if they can keep up this pace. Tonight, the Warriors will host the 11-11 New Orleans Pelicans from Oracle Arena at 10:30 PM eastern.

Let's flash back to December 17, 2011. Due to a dispute over the new collective bargaining agreement, the NBA was under lockout until Christmas Day 2011. This meant that the December 17 meeting between Golden State and Sacramento was a preseason game, but that didn't stop Stephen Curry from giving it his all against the Kings. Curry had 22 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals as the Warriors cruised to a 107-96 preseason win.

Aside from the impressive numbers, the most interesting aspect of Curry's December 2011 run may have been his sneakers. In this December 17 game, Stephen Curry wore the Nike Lunar Hypergamer PE, and he was also known for wearing the Hyperdunk 2011 around this time.

However, the speedy PG had a reoccurring problem with his right ankle, and visited Nike's specialists to find a sneaker that would better suit his movements and tendencies. From there, he switched to the Zoom Brave V, which featured a noticeably lower cut than the previous models he wore.
