When legendary designer Tinker Hatfield invites you to the Nike HQ, it's an opportunity you have to jump on. Quickstrike's Russ Bengtson and DJ Clark Kent hit up the Nike Campus in Beaverton, Oregon to speak to Tinker and get a quick history lesson direct from one of the greatest sneaker influencers of all time.

The three met up in a 1972 Winnebago parked in the heart of Nike's Innovation Kitchen, and got schooled on some little known facts and history behind the Swoosh. Back in the early days of Nike, Phil Knight and company would take that '72 Winnebago to local track meets and sporting events to showcase and sell their shoes direct to athletes. Nike's come leaps and bounds since those days, and Tinker gives some insight on the road and process it took to get the Swoosh to where it is today. Check out part 1 of Quickstrike's interview with Tinker below and keep it locked for more from the Nike HQ.
