Over the past couple of weeks, we've got our first looks at the Kobe 9 Elite "Christmas" that the Mamba will lace up for the NBA holiday festivities. Apparently that's not the only red Kobe in the works from Nike as the hype bank just opened thanks to our first look at the Kobe 9 High KRM EXT "Red October".

The official name of the shoe is the Kobe 9 High KRM EXT "University Red", but it's clear where the inspiration came from. The shoes come in a pyramid-textured synthetic base and faux snakeskin heel which gives further nod to the Yeezy 2, and of course the all-red color scheme. Nike added in some extra detailing with a leather interior, black sole and chrome insets. In addition to the "Red October" colorway, we also get our first look at a black snakeskin version of the Kobe 9 High KRM EXT, which features raised scales on the upper, full-grain leather heel, chrome insets and a black sole.

The "Red October" Kobe 9 EXT is scheduled to hit the Nike Store on December 20, for a suggested retail of $275. As of now, the "Black Mamba" colorway has no official release date, but keep it locked for all future news, and let us know what you think of the upcoming Kobe 9 High KRM EXT.
