A major announcement is coming from the fighting world today as the UFC has signed a deal with Reebok for the brand to outfit their fighters with uniforms for the first time ever.

It was long rumored and hinted at that Reebok would eventually become the apparel sponsor for the UFC, and today it'll become a reality. Reebok and the UFC has reportedly signed a 6-year deal for the brand to be the official sponsor, which will certainly change the way sponsorships are handled in the future. Reports are coming out that all the money from the deal with Reebok will go directly to the fighters, which should make up for the money they will lose out on from having to wear Reebok gear instead of private sponsors. Interestingly enough, the partnership was proposed by rapper/producer and Reebok frontman Swizz Beatz.

For more information on the deal, and exactly how the UFC fighters will be compensated, head over to ESPN. Check out the announcement from the press event in the livestream below, and let us know what you think of the deal between the UFC and Reebok.
