Where the Peregrine 3 is a lightweight, minimalist-friendly trail running shoe, Saucony’s Xodus line offers runners a more beefed up option to go off-roading.
Later this summer, we’ll see the latest edition of the popular series, the Xodus 4, hit the market. The shoe is a slightly lighter (not by much) version of its predecessor, yet still offers the same protection as the 3. Most of the upgrades are seen in the upper—which has been redesigned to offer better support and comfort than the pervious model.
Along with the standard edition, the shoe will be available in a waterproof GORE-TEX version for all-weather running. Expect a retail price of around $100 for the Xodus 4 ($130 for GTX).
