Saucony Hurricane 16

If you’re in search of a running shoe with maximum support without the added bulk, look no further than the Saucony Hurricane 16

A tried and tested shoe, the Hurricane series has built up quite a fan base in its decade and a half of existence, particularly with the last few models. It’s one of those traditional sneakers that has the savvy of a modern-day performance machine. The 16th edition of the shoe builds on that success with some minor tweaks for improved looks and overall feel.

Leading the way of changes to the Hurricane 16 is a redesigned Support Frame around the heel for a better fit, as well as increased support. The shoe’s upper has also been upgraded using a more premium mesh material for improved comfort and resilience. Given its success, the chassis (which includes a PowerGrid midsole and SRC Impact Zone shock absorption system) on the Hurricane 16 remains untouched.

The release date for the Saucony Hurricane 16 is set for February 2014. The shoe will retail at around the $150 mark (a $10 increase from the current version).
