The Saucony Virrata has only been on the market since February, but already it has garnered a reputation for being a high velocity running/training shoe that’s incredibly lightweight and comfortable, and can take a beating on the pavement.
Now, the Virrata gets even better with a limited edition “Boston” colorway to celebrate the upcoming 2013 Boston Marathon. Just like Saucony’s limited edition Kinvara 4 “Boston,” the Virrata “Boston” features similar design elements, along with a vibrant Green/Yellow colorway that any Bostonian would be proud of.
At just 6.5 ounces, the Virrata is one of the lightest, most flexible shoes offered by Saucony. Despite a slimmed down construction, it is an excellent zero-drop shoe with plenty of cushioning thanks to a high abrasion EVA (EVA+) midsole. Its breathable open mesh upper is perfect for warm summer weather.
Both of the Boston-edition shoes, the Kivara 4 and the Virrata, will be available at the Boston Marathon Expo. For a limited time, you can also grab a pair directly from Saucony.
