After an exciting day of pigskin, the Seattle Seahawks have advanced to the NFC Championship game next weekend, while the New England Patriots are headed to the AFC Championship game for the third straight year. Both of yesterday's divisional round games were contested mostly on the ground, with two running backs in particular stepping up to control the pace of the respective match ups.

The Seahawks used their home field advantage to the fullest with a 23-15 win over the New Orleans Saints, and they'll be at home again for next weeks NFC Championship game against the winner of today's San Fransisco vs. Carolina divisional match-up. Marshawn Lynch (pictured) came up big for Seattle, scoring both of their touchdowns and racking up 140 yards.

From Foxboro, MA, the New England Patriots dominated Indianapolis 43-22. Andrew Luck did everything he could for the Colts with 331 yards and two TDs, but he also threw 4 interceptions and the Pats proved to be too much to handle. LeGarrette Blount handled the bulk of the offense for New England, grinding it out with 4 touchdowns on the ground and 166 yards.

Catch the sneaker details for both Lynch and Blount, plus the night's best players in NCAA men's Top 25 hoops and NBA action after the jump.
