As he continues to advance through the Australian Open men's singles field, Roger Federer's challenges are amplifying at the same rate. After defeating Andy Murray 6-3, 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3 in a 3 hour, 20 minute match, Federer said "I'm back. It was a great game on many levels, not just physically... but mentally also."

This win moves Federer to the semifinals, where he'll meet Rafael Nadal. Yesterday wasn't much easier on Nadal, who was able to drop Grigor Dimitor 3-6, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (7), 6-2. The two stars face off tomorrow morning at 3:30AM eastern.

On the NBA floor, Jeff Green had a huge night for the Celtics, dropping a season-high 39 points and 9 rebounds in Boston's 113-111 OT win over Washington. Philly's Evan Turner was also impressive in his unreleased Li-Ning signature model, leading the 76ers with 34 points and 11 rebounds. In San Antonio, both Kevin Durant and Reggie Jackson put up huge numbers for the Thunder.

All this plus NCAA men's Top 25 action featuring No. 10 Iowa vs. No. 21 Michigan after the jump.
