After 17 long months, Chicago Bulls standout Derrick Rose returned to the hardwood last night in preseason action. As the Bulls bounced the Pacers 82-76, Rose looked solid, scoring 13 points in just 20 minutes. “I’ve been preparing myself for this moment for a year and a half now. So just getting prepared for this and continue to go out there and know how blessed I am to be stepping back on the court again, especially with these guys that dedicated their whole summer to trying to make this team better,” Rose told the Associated Press after the win. It looks like Bulls fans will be doing a lot more celebrating this season.

On the college football gridiron, some of the nation’s top teams powered to big blowout wins, while No. 15 Washington and No. 5 Stanford battled it out until the end. Oregon picked up a 57-16 win over Colorado, while Clemson downed Syracuse 49-14.

As the MLB Playoffs continued, the Oakland Athletics were able to tie up their series against Detroit and the Red Sox advanced to 2-0 over the Rays. Continue on to find out which shoes were worn by the night’s best players in these games and more.
