This weekend’s Shoes That Won Last Night begins with a recap of Friday’s MLB playoff, NBA preseason, and World Cup Qualifying action.

The National League Championship Series kicked off with a 13-inning Game 1 between the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Cards kicked off the seven game series with a 3-2 win on the back of stellar play from Carlos Beltran and catcher Yadier Molina (pictured.) Beltran was responsible for driving in each of the Cardinals’ three runs, including the game winner of a single in the 13th inning.

In NBA preseason action, LeBron James looked strong as he prepares for the release of his 11th signature sneaker this weekend. James stuck with his previous model, the Nike LeBron X Elite, as he dropped 20 points on Charlotte. Around the league, Orlando rookie Victor Oladipo impressed with 18 points and 8 rebounds, Demar DeRozan had 20 points and 5 assists, Philadelphia’s James Anderson had a solid night with 16 points and 6 rebounds as the Sixers bounced the Celtics.

Finally, the United States, Honduras, and Mexico all picked up World Cup Qualifying wins. The US downed Jamaica 2-0 thanks to late goals from Graham Zusi and Jozy Altidore. Continue on to find out what these players wore for their winning performances.
