It’s good to be king. Last night, LeBron James led the Heat to a 110-104 win over the Dallas Mavericks. It seemed like everything was falling for LeBron, who shot 14-18 from the field and had 39 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. With this home win, Miami advances to 6-3 to keep the top spot in their division, while Dallas falls to 5-4.
Around the league, Jeff Teague lit it up for the Hawks with 33 points and 10 assists in their 113-103 win over Philadelphia. Big man Roy Hibbert came close to a triple-double as he powered Indiana to a 104-77 blowout win over Milwaukee with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and an astounding 8 blocks. In Sacramento, Josh Smith did a little bit of everything for Detroit with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals, and 4 blocks as the Pistons dethroned the Kings 97-90.
On the collegiate hardwood, No. 2 Michigan State and No. 3 Louisville had big wins over Columbia and Cornell, respectively. Elsewhere, the ACC dominated, with No. 4 Duke (pictured), No. 12 North Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech all picking up wins last night.
All this, plus college football action between No. 13 UCLA and Washington after the jump.
