Talk about an action packed day. The college football regular season closed out with some huge match-ups, including one of the craziest endings you’ll ever see. In men’s NCAA hoops, Villanova won the Battle 4 Atlantis while Kansas rebounded from their loss last night. In the NBA, John Wall and James Harden dominated as both came near triple-double territory.
The biggest story of the day was without a doubt No. 4 Auburn ousting No. 1 Alabama after a remarkable 100-yard field goal return by Chris David at the very last second (pictured above.) The play capped off a strong game for Auburn, who managed to give the Crimson Tide their first loss of the year. Elsewhere, No. 2 Florida State blew out Florida 37-7 to remain undefeated, and No. 3 Ohio State was also able to extend their record to 12-0 after a close call against Michigan.
In men’s basketball, Villanova had a huge win over Kansas last night, and they kept the ball rolling as they won the Battle 4 Atlantis with a 88-83 win over No. 23 Iowa. After these huge wins, there’s no question that Villanova has earned a spot in the Top 25. Meanwhile, Kansas was able to snag a win over UTEP.
