It was all hoops yesterday as NBA Friday Night and a few NCAA games provided plenty of hardwood entertainment. Kicking things off, Al Horford led the Atlanta Hawks to a close win over Washington with a 34 point, 15 rebound double-double. In Denver, Utah’s Gordon Hayward turned in stellar numbers with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The double-doubles for didn’t end there, because Joakim Noah powered the Bulls with 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 5 assists of his own as Chicago picked up a 91-90 win over Milwaukee after a three from Mike Dunleavy. Elsewhere, Kevin Love continued his outstanding season with 42 points and 14 rebounds in Minnesota’s 110-117 loss to the Spurs.
In college action, the big game was No. 23 Iowa at No. 17 Iowa State. The Cyclones advanced to 8-0 with a 85-82 win, dropping Iowa to 10-2 and likely out of the Top 25.
All this, plus more of last night’s best ballers after the jump.
