As Week 16 of the NFL season comes to a close, the playoff picture is beginning to take shape. The Denver Broncos continue to dominate, powering to a 37-13 win over Texas after a huge night from Payton Manning. After throwing for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns, Manning hit 51 total TDs on the year, a mark which puts him past Tom Brady for the most conversions in a single season. Wide receiver Eric Decker added 131 yards and collected two TDs of his own in Denver’s decisive win.
In Maryland, the Skins and Cowboys put on a thriller that was decided on a Tony Romo TD in the last minute of action as Dallas won 24-23. Romo had 226 yards and two touchdowns on the night. 130 miles away, in Philly, the Eagles smothered Chicago 54-11 to set back the Bears’ quest for the NFC North title.
In NBA action, the duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin proved to be too much for Minnesota despite a huge 45 point, 19 rebound night from Kevin Love. Griffin had 32 points and 10 rebounds while CP3 added 19 points and 13 assists. In Oklahoma City, the Raptors upset the Thunder on the back of 22 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds from Kyle Lowry.
