It was all fun and games last night as NBA All-Star Weekend tipped off from New Orleans. Between the Team Hill vs. Team Webber showdown in the Rising Stars challenge and the Sprint Celebrity Game, there was no shortage of Friday night entertainment.

The Rising Stars Challenge proved to be a scoring showcase, with Team Hill coming out on top 142-136. Detroit’s Andre Drummond took home the night’s MVP honors after locking down the paint with 30 points and a whopping 25 rebounds. Cleveland’s Dion Waiters chipped in another 31 points and 7 assists for Team Hill, while Bradley Beal 21 points. On Team Webber, Tim Hardaway Jr. played an outstanding game despite the loss, and Anthony Davis broke out yet another PE. In a double-overtime thriller, Arizona State managed to hand the Arizona Wildcats their second loss of the season with a 69-66 Sun Devils win. This meeting between the Pac 12 rivals was all about defense, although Arizona State’s Jermaine Marshall managed to put up 29 points in the low-scoring affair. After a premature rushing of the court by the Sun Devils fans, Arizona State sealed the deal on the 2OT W.
