The Seattle Seahawks came into MetLife Stadium last night with one thing on their minds: shutting down Peyton Manning and ultimately defeating Denver for the Super Bowl win. When the kick-off finally came, Seattle took control early and never looked back.
Seattle's defense proved to be too much for Manning, as they smothered the superstar QB every chance they had. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson was able to keep it together, playing efficiently with 18/25 passing. In the end, the Seahawks won decisively, 43-8, and linebacker Malcolm Smith was named Most Valuable Player for his outstanding defense.
Believe it or not, the Super Bowl wasn't the only big game yesterday, as NCAA men's basketball presented some major upsets in Top 25 action. The No. 10 Michigan Wolverines suffered a major Big Ten loss to Indiana after a huge offensive showing from the Hoosiers' Yogi Ferrell. In ACC action, No. 18 Pittsburgh fell to Virginia 48-45 as the Cavaliers advanced to 8-1 in the conference.
Catch up on the Super Bowl's best cleats and more after the break.
