Nick Young’s probably not going to top many MVP ballots this year, but he’s the undisputed champ when it comes to on-court sneakers. Game after Game, Swaggy P breaks out something that makes us all stop and stare. Last night’s road win over Utah was no different, as Young exploded with a season-high 41 points in the Nike Kobe 9 Elite. At this rate, there’s no telling what he’ll break out next, but stick with Sneaker Report and we’ll keep you up to speed.

From Washington, the Wizards got the best of the Heat in a 114-93 blowout win. After a lengthy bout with the flu, Trevor Ariza stepped up for the Wizards with 25 points and stellar 10-13 shooting. For Miami, the loss means that they give up the Eastern Conference’s top seed to the Indiana Pacers, and will go on to face either Washington or Charlotte in the first round of the playoffs.

Another one of the league’s top teams fell in New Orleans as the Pelicans powered past the Oklahoma City Thunder. NO’s Tyreke Evans had a monster night, dumping a career-high 41 points on the Thunder and adding 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals for good measure. Hit the jump to see what Evans wore for what will surely be one of the week’s best performances.

All this plus MLB action after the break.
