The Shoes That Won Last Night: T'Wolves Take Down Heat in 2OT

Although it may very well change after tonight's Final Four match-ups, last night's Minnesota-Miami game is the frontrunner for basketball game of the week. The two east coast powerhouses were dead even through regulation and the first OT, but the Timberwolves finally pulled away with a 122-121 win thanks to a clutch free throw from Corey Brewer. The King and Co. were in top form, with LeBron netting 34 points and Mario Chalmers chipping in a season-high 24, but it just wasn't enough to stop Minnesota's deep roster. Chase Budinger (picutred, right) had a huge night for the Wolves with 24 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists, while Kevin Love (left) added 28. But the most interesting stat of the night is that the Heat fell to 2-4 in overtime games this season, a stark contrast to their 5-1 OT record last year.

Around the league, Michael Carter-Williams had a strong showing as Philadelphia was able to pick up a rare win in Boston and Jeff Teague led Atlanta to a blowout win over the Cavs.

All this, plus MLB action featuring cleats from Charlie Blackmon, Miguel Cabrera, Sean Rodriguez, and more after the break.
