After a record number of Game 7s in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers weren't going to allow another one just yet.
From Los Angeles, the Clippers' season came to an end after a huge night from Kevin Durant. The 2013-14 MVP shot 5-8 from the 3-point arc and finished with 39 points and a season-high 16 rebounds as Oklahoma City powered to a 104-98 Game 6 win. Chris Paul was in top form, and Blake Griffin had a strong night before fouling out, but in the end they didn't have an answer for KD and the Thunder. Next up for OKC, they'll meet San Antonio in the Western Conference Finals next Monday. The Thunder swept the Spurs 4-0 in regular season play, so it'll be interesting to see how things go in the postseason.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards also had their outstanding season cut short as the Indiana Pacers handled Game 6 with ease, winning 93-80 on the road. David West led the Pacers in scoring with 29 points and grabbed 6 boards, putting an end to John Wall and company's surprising run. On Sunday, No. 1 seed Indiana will play host to the Miami Heat for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Is LeBron headed for his third straight rind, or will the Pacers stop him in his tracks? With the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals for the third time in the last four years, will they finally go all the way? Stick with Sneaker Report to find out?
