While the NBA Playoffs pause in preparation for the Conference Finals, there was an abundance of baseball, golf, and tennis action on Friday.

Detroit Tigers’ Max Scherzer continues to roll through the competition, making easy work of the Boston Red Sox. Despite a 47-minute rain delay, Scherzer kept it rolling as the Tigers dropped the defending World Series champs 1-0. Scherzer pitched 6 innings and struck out 7 batters, allowing just 3 hits along the way. “The rain delay had no effect on me. When I went back out there for the fourth, it was the same,” Scherzer said on his way to picking up his sixth straight win.

In the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, both Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic progressed to the semifinals, where they’ll face Grigor Dimitrov and Milos Raonic, respectively. Serena Williams also picked up a quarterfinals win, and she’ll meet Ana Ivanovic in the semis.
