So long, Houston. After putting up a fight in last night's Game 6 from Portland, the Rockets were eliminated as Portland advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. Damian Lillard (pictured) was pure clutch as he drained a miraculous last second 3 to push the Blazers to a 99-98 win. The sharp shooting guard had 25 points, while LaMarcus Aldridge added 30 and 13 rebounds to give the Blazers the 4-2 series win. Next up, Portland will take on the winner of the tense Dallas-San Antonio series.
Speaking of the Mavs-Spurs showdown, their series extended to a Game 7 after last night's 113-111 Dallas win. Late in the 4th, it turned into the Monta Ellis vs. Tony Parker show, with both point guards putting their respective teams on their backs in the closing moments. In the end, Ellis and the Mavericks prevailed, forcing a deciding game that will take place Sunday afternoon.
But wait, because there will be yet another Game 7 on Sunday between the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets. From Barclays Center, the Nets dropped Toronto in what was one of the more lopsided games of the first round. The 97-83 win pushes both teams to a must-win Game 7 from Toronto on Sunday at 1PM Eastern.
