Another day, another major loss in the World Cup. Luis Suárez led Uruguay to a 2-1 win over England, leaving the Three Lions in trouble as they could potentially be facing elimination after suffering their second straight loss in Brazil. Suárez scored both of Uruguay's goals in a brilliant performance that saw him score early, then bounce back following Wayne Rooney's tying score with a goal at 85' to give La Celeste the lead and eventual win. Both team's will have their eyes on today's Italy-Costa Rica match up, which will weigh heavily on Group D's standings.
Elsewhere, Ivory Coast fell 1-2 to Colombia while Japan and Greece battled to a scoreless tie. Find out which boots were worn by the day's best performers after the break and be sure to keep it locked here as the World Cup begins to heat up.
