LeBron and D. Wade may be cracking smiles in the above photo from yesterday’s team practice, but make no mistakes about it: tomorrow night will be a war. In a repeat of last year’s Finals, the San Antonio Spurs will meet the Miami Heat with Game 1 tipping off tonight at 9PM Eastern from Texas. The Spurs come into the series with a strong experience edge, making their sixth Finals appearance and their fourth of the last decade. Tim Duncan is undoubtedly hungry for a fifth ring, and guys like Parker, Ginboili, and Green aren’t going to give up easily. With that said, the momentum lies in South Beach, with the Heat coming in as defending champs and looking to pull off their third consecutive title win. Last year’s series took seven games and an incredible Miami comeback to seal the deal, and we have a feeling this one might be even better. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a recap of Game 1′s best kicks and performances.
