Doubters be damned, Rory McIlroy is still on top. Despite his recent string of bad luck in second rounds, McIlroy followed up Thursday's performance with another 6-under 66 to hang onto the British Open lead. As of now, McIlroy's only challenge is the USA's Dustin Johnson, who hangs behind by 4 shots. As for Tiger, his Open Championship hopes are all but dashed after an awful showing that nearly had him cut from the tournament. "I'm pretty far back. Hopefully I can play well and give myself a shot going into the back nine on Sunday," Woods said. Round three teed off this morning, so be sure to check back for updates on the action from across the pond.

Meanwhile, the MLB All-Star break has come and gone, and the boys of summer are back out there. Be sure to hit the jump for a rundown of last night's best cleats.
