A week that is traditionally chock-full of football got off to a predictable start with Colin Kaepernick threw 3 touchdown passes and Anquan Boldin had 2 touchdown catches as the San Francisco 49ers went to a 7-4 record. The 49ers made quick work of the Washington Redskins in an easy 27-6 victory over a struggling Robert Griffin III and Redskins.

The NBA was busy with some great performances going on throughout the night. Paul George and George Hill tag teamed for 52 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and 9 steals as the Pacers managed to push their record to 13-1 and defeat the Timberwolves with ease. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade put on a similar performance with 56 points, 11 rebounds, and 16 assists as Miami won in a rout of the Phoenix Suns 107-92. Of course these two teams are the clear-cut 1 and 2 in the Eastern Conference and will be dueling for the no. 1 seed throughout the NBA season. It definitely has been struggle season for the Utah Jazz. Before last night, the Jazz had the worst record and were the only team with 1 win total in the NBA. It's been tough on young star Gordon Hayward who has dealt with nagging injuries, but last night he found a way to contribute despite dealing with some ailments. Hayward had a nice all-around game of 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 12 assists as the Utah Jazz won their second game of the season in overtime against the Chicago Bulls 89-83.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are a very deep team and have some really good players across the board on their roster. Lenzelle Smith, Jr. is one of those really talented offensive players and he showed that last night. Smith had 20 points and 8 rebounds as Ohio State managed to stay undefeated with a 65-50 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys. Smith shoed his range by knocking down 5 triples in the victory.

Game: Denver Nuggets vs. Dallas Mavericks

Ty Lawson is the little engine that could and he drives his Denver Nuggets team to wins many nights. Lawson was solid for the Nuggets with 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 11 assists in the Zoom Soldier VII as Denver managed to knock off the Dallas Mavericks 110-96. The Mavericks suffered their first home loss of the season and the Nuggets are starting to build some momentum after a rough start in the early part of the NBA season. They still have their doubters, but that doesn't matter if they keep playing like this.

Every Batman needs a Robin. Dwyane Wade has been dealing with some minor injuries and has been in and out of the lineup this season, but when he's in... he's in. Wade had 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 12 assists for the Miami Heat as they managed to easily defeat the Phoenix Suns 107-92. The Heat upped their record to 11-3 and are looking for a three-peat but everyone knows that won't happen if Wade isn't at least close to the elite level he has played at throughout his NBA career.

Bodin is an elite receiver and he also had 94 receiving yards as the 49ers pushed their record on the season to 7-4.

Paul George has clearly proved that he is one of the elite players in the NBA and the Pacers are quietly proving that they are one of the elite teams in the NBA. Paul George had 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals as Indiana routed the Minnesota Timberwolves 98-84 with George leading the charge. George managed to knock down all 4 of his three-point attempts while shooting efficiently overall. The Pacers are currently 13-1 and tied for the best record in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs. Hill was knocking down the three ball and found ways to penetrate and get into the paint against the Minnesota defense.

Kaepernick threw for235 passing yards and 3 touchdowns in the victory. 2 of Kaepernick's 3 touchdown passes came in the third quarter where the 49ers put the game far out of reach at 24-6.

James finds different ways to help his team, but last night he was in his pure scoring form to help his team get an easy win in the Nike LeBron XI.
