As ESPN's stat team reports, Game 3 winners in the NBA Playoffs go on to win their series 75% of the time. With that said, things are looking pretty good for the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder right about now.
From Los Angeles, the Clippers and Thunder battled it out through the first three periods with neither team giving an inch. In the fourth, Kevin Durant (pictured) stepped up with a crucial three-point play, helping to push OKC to a 118-112 win. Durant finished with 36 points, while Russell Westbrook 23 and Serge Ibaka chipped in another 20 in the Game 3 W. Blake Griffin, CP3, and 6th Man of the Year winner Jamal Crawford were up to their usual tricks, but after the loss they have their backs against the wall for Game 4 on Sunday afternoon.
From the Verizon Center, Washington and Indiana engaged in a low-scoring affair, with the Wizards putting up just 12 points in the third and falling 63-85. Indiana benefitted from strong play on both ends of the court from Paul George, who put up 23 points and grabbed 3 steals to lead the Pacers to a 2-1 series advantage. Next up, the Wizards play host again for Game 4 on Sunday at 8PM Eastern.
