The NBA schedule was relatively light and lacked any close contests with a few really bad blowouts involved. The Brooklyn Nets continued their slide with a loss to the Rodney Stuckey led Detroit Pistons 109-97. The Chicago Bulls looked lost without their leader Derrick Rose who suffered a serious injury with a medial meniscus tear in his right knee. The Bulls looked like they needed Rose on the court as the Clippers and Chris Paul had their way with the Bulls for a 121-82 rout.

The road to the NFL playoffs still has not taken shape with so many teams in play for the still open playoff spots. The New York Giants suffered a tough blow to their playoff hopes with a 24-21 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The San Diego Chargers pulled off a great upset of the Kansas City Chiefs behind a great performance from Philip Rivers including a game-winning touchdown thrown by Rivers late in the fourth quarter. Here are the Shoes That Won Last Night.

Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to a miraculous comeback over the Denver Broncos with a solid performance on Sunday night. Brady threw for 3 touchdowns and 344 yards as he managed to out duel his fellow quarterback Peyton Manning in a close 34-31 overtime victory. The game ended a little fluke-ish as the Patriots won after the Broncos botched a punt return in the victory, so we hope that there is another great matchup between these two in the future.
