Sloane Stephens is a force. She excels in speed, power, and intelligence on the court. After her match was delayed because of rain, she took on Urszula Radwanska late in the night and still came out swinging. Stephens destroyed Radwanska 6-1 6-1, winning the second set in 6 straight games. With only 5 unforced errors and 24 winners, Stephens cruised into victory in only 58 minutes.
Sloane played an amazing match in a pair of custom pair of Under Armour Micro G. She has worn them earlier this year during the Roland Garros. She showed her prowess in UA gear during the 2013 French Open, laced from head-to-toe, breezing by the first two rounds of the tournament. These Micro G tennis shoes still can’t be found anywhere. Hopefully soon, UA will give us more on the shoes that has helped elevate her game.
This 20 year old American is definitely coming for the title as we move forward in the rounds. She is continually improving her game and could potentially rise high in the ranks. Her potential is high and so are the expectations for to be No.1 on the women’s side.
