Sergio Garcia has had plenty of success on the PGA tour over the last decade or so, but there’s one thing lacking on resume of the currently 16th ranked golfer in the World—a win in a major tournament. But apparently there’s hope. If Garcia continues to play like he did in Thursday’s opening round of the 2013 Masters, he may just have his first major title by the end of the weekend (and a green jacket to boot).
In a pair of his go-to black adiZero Tour golf shoes, Garcia shot a bogey-free 6-under 66 to earn a share of the first-round lead with Australian Marc Leishman. Garcia looked comfortable in the Sprintskin-ready shoes, which just happen to be the lightest ten-cleated men’s tour shoes every manufactured by adidas Golf. It’s certainly a great start for the Spanish golfer, but only time will tell if he and his adiZero Tour can hold up as the competition tightens at Augusta.
