SPOTTED: Terrance Ross Wins 2013 Slam Dunk Contest in Nike Barkley Posite Max

While the 2013 NBA Slam Dunk Contest was admittedly a bit of a snooze fest, the final round between Toronto’s Terrance Ross and defend champ Jeremy Evans was quite a spectacle. After a stretch of blown dunks by a number of players, Ross and Evans put on a show for the final dunks of the night.

In case you missed it, Terrance Ross won by soaring over a ball-boy and finishing with a through-the-legs slam that would have made former Raptors star Vince Carter proud. Representing Nike’s “Area 72 Raygun” All-Star pack, Ross chose to break out the Barkley Posite Max. And really, what better sneaker for high-impact dunks than this just-released model? Combining two Nike classics, this hybrid is a performance powerhouse, with a rugged Foamposite upper matched with Hyperfuse and a chunky Air Max bubble for cushioning.

The limited edition (and already sold out) colorway was the first makeup of the Barkley Posite to hit retail, but rest assured that more colorways are on the way if you’re interested in the heavy-duty build. Just be sure to have $250 ready.
