A week after the unfortunate events at the Boston Marathon, the running community looked to get back on track on Sunday, as runners from all over the globe lined up across the pond to take part in the 2013 London Marathon.
No world records fell, as the 35,000+ participants made their way through the streets of London, but it was still one of the more memorable iterations of the 33rd annual classic marathon to date. On the men's side, Ethiopian Tsegaye Kebede put up a time of 2 hours 6 minutes 4 seconds to take the tape.
Much like fellow Ethiopian Lelisa Desisa did in Boston, Kebede ran the race in the Nike Zoom Streak 3 racing flats that have become regulars in the upper echelon of distance running. Released back in 2010, the Zoom Streak 3 remains the go-to choice for elite marathoners because of the lightweight support and cushioning the shoe offers. No matter what the race, expect to see more of the Zoom Streak 3 be the first to cross the finish line.
