If you’re a runner who’s into the whole “less is more” trend, the Brooks PureProject collection is for you. However, if you’re in the hunt for a more traditional sneaker with ample cushioning and support, try the Trance 12 on for size.

Now in its 12th year, the Trance from Brooks Running looks to be better than ever. Bearing many similarities to the Glycerin 11, the Trance 12 is a beefed up support shoe designed to give runners the perfect blend of cushioning and durability on the city streets or the trail.

The sneaker’s Brooks DNA midsole offers excellent foot support and impact resistance while its Caterpillar Crash Pad provides a smooth heel-to-to transition. While most running shoes have an internal heel counter, the Trance 12 features an external one that is inspired by the grill of a car, giving the shoe enhanced breathability and a unique look.
