For those who don’t know what the Ironman 70.3 World Championship race, it’s a grueling triathlon that takes place in Henderson, Nevada. In this race you are not only pitted against yourself but you have to fight fatigue as this race will beat both your body and your mind. This year all eyes were on the man who took the event last year, Sebastian Kienle of Germany.

Kienle was 2 minutes behind the leader coming out of the water. He managed to make up his time during the back-run transition to take a 3-minute lead on the pack. With proving that he is able to take the race event again he won the race with a 2 minute cushion. As the race advanced towards the end, it was evident that it was more of a race for 2nd and 3rd place as the experienced German showed off his dominance.
