While Nike's busy rolling out the latest models for KD and LeBron next season, the third member of Nike's big three is getting different versions of the shoe he didn't even get to lace up last year.

When the Nike Kobe 9 was originally debuted, it featured an extremely supportive high ankle design similar to those commonly seen in boxing shoes. Nike opted for the high ankle to protect Kobe's torn achilles and bring a new wave of support to basketball sneakers. Since then, Nike's unleashed numerous Kobe 9's both high cut and low, and now they take a more conventional approach with the Kobe 9 Mid EXT "Black Snakeskin". This colorways seems more of a lifestyle option then a performance shoe as it comes with a snakeskin upper, chrome midsole accent, and multiple perforations throughout to give a more stylish look. While this is just the first Kobe 9 Mid we've seen, expect more colorways to come in the near future as clearly Nike's still got plenty of things planned.

The Nike Kobe 9 Mid EXT "Black Snakeskin" is currently only slated for a international release, but let us know if your looking forward to grabbing a pair if and when they make it stateside.
