The Saucony Cortana series will be back in Fall 2013 for its third installment, and we expect it to be faster and lighter than ever before.

Available in August, the Cortana 3 combines the stability and cushioning of a traditional trainer with a super minimal upper for a hybrid-type running shoe—making it a great option for runners looking to transition from traditional shoes to minimal ones.

The shoe features a PowerGrid midsole, which is 15 percent lighter and 30 percent more durable than standard EVA. With a 4mm offset, it offers a more natural heel-to-toe transition for a smooth stride.

Saucony has added FlexFilm overlays to the forefoot for improved support, and a seamless construction that offers comfort both with or without socks.  The shoe also features a new Support Frame on the heel for an enhanced lockdown fit.

Retail price for the Cortana 3 should be around the $150 mark.
