The Saucony Spectrum is Light on Your Feet and Your Wallet

Regardless of what you’ve heard, you don’t have to spend $100+ to get a decent pair of running shoes. Ok, let’s be real—if you want quality, it’ll cost you the big bucks. But if you’re simply in search of a high performing shoe that won’t break the bank, try the Saucony Spectrum on for size.

The versatile Spectrum is a solid option for runners in need of an everyday training shoe. Featuring a similar design to the Kinvara series, the Spectrum is an ultra-lightweight (just 7.8 ounces) sneaker that can be used for race training, especially in the hot summer months. The shoe features a two-layer mono mesh upper that is breathable and comfortable at the same time.

With a Heel Grid System and an IMEVA Midsole, the Spectrum offers ample cushioning in the heel, along with better shock retention, and a more responsive ride. The shoe’s triangular lugged outsole is designed for all-terrain use, although we wouldn’t recommend it as your primary trail running shoe.
